My wife and I had been looking to replace our water bed mattress and decided to try memory foam. At local stores we found Tempur-Pedic® and other name brands, but prices of $1000 and up (way up!) put us off.

BedInABox PureRest Memory Foam Contour Pillow Review

After sleeping on our PacDown mattress for a few weeks, we decided to try BedInABox's memory foam pillows. We ordered two of the PureRest contour pillows, which (as expected) were promptly shipped and delivered.
The PureRest Memory Foam Contour Pillows are made from the same American-made BASF foam used in the company's mattresses, and as you can see from the photo they have a contoured shape for better neck and head support.
The pillows measure 21 inches wide by 15 deep, and have a double tapered construction. Along one long edge the thickness is just under four inches; at the other long edge it's just under five inches. The foam tapers down from both edges towards the middle of the pillow, where it's about three inches thick. The PureRest pillows have a zip-off washable cover made from 75% cotton/25% polyester material.
The contoured memory foam gives excellent support to the neck and head regardless of sleeping position, and the different thicknesses at each edge allow fine-tuning of the neck height. My wife and I both like a fairly high head position when sleeping, so we each use a standard foam pillow under the PureRest.
After using the PureRest pillows for a week and a half, we both find we wake up more rested, without the occasional neck stiffness we suffered when using our old standard foam pillows.
